State of The Urban League: Report to the Community

The Greater Toledo Urban League will be holding a public Report to the Community session on Thursday, October 29, 2009 – 7:00pm at  Indiana Avenue Missionary Baptist Church (640 Indiana Avenue, Toledo, Ohio [Dr. John E. Roberts, Pastor]). All are invited.

Come learn about and join “The Movement to Empower Communities and Change Lives.”

John Jones - John Jones is the current President/CEO of The Greater Toledo Urban League, Inc. His main goals include raising the awareness in the community and abroad of the issues faced by the inner city and disadvantaged people all over and promoting healthy and successful individuals from age 0 to 100.

    Here is a “sneak peek” of what you will experience on Thursday, October 29th at “The State of the Greater Toledo urban League”. You will learn about our programs from our clients and staff; you will encouraged to get out and vote; you will be inspired; and you will be challenged and “called to action”. The address will center on “Reorganizing, Refocusing and Reenergizing”, as you will hear about how we will address our internal structure, where our focus is and will be and how we plan to inject energy and motivation into the organization and the community. NOW is the time for us to come together to effect positive change. Together we can “Empower Communities and Change Lives”!
