Statement of Purpose
The J. Frank Tory Senior Center exists to improve the lives, the health, and the quality of life of the elderly. Seniors are assisted in the areas of social service, professional health services, daily living experiences, and educational and social issues which affect them.

Escort	Accompanying older persons to assist in shopping, banking, and Doctor’s appointments and errands
Transportation	Enabling seniors to receive services at the center
Education	Providing opportunities to acquire knowledge and skills through formal classes
Health Assessment	Providing basic diagnostic testing and health monitoring
Socialization	Promoting the well-being of older persons through participation in group activities
Support Services	Translating materials, assistance in filling out forms, i.e., HEAP applications, income tax returns, Medicaid/Medicare applications

• Total membership recorded is 759 seniors with average daily participation at 45
